Summary:
Use a microscope to verify part placement, align parts, and perform post reflow inspection and touch-up. Identify and correct solder defects such as poor wetted joints, voids, shorts, misaligned parts, and tombstoned components. Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment, distinguishing false calls from real issues. Read instructions and identify standard SMT components. Work in a fast-paced environment with potential for overtime. Use rework equipment like hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal tools. Experience with jumper wire soldering on re-design boards is a plus. Qualifications: IPC-610 and IPC J-STD-001 Certifications (active or expired required). 6+ years of experience in soldering and IPC standards. IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD, Soldering |
