Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician, BEECHCRAFT KING AIR AND 1900 SERIES AIRCRAFT (Full Time w/ Benefits)
Immediate position available in Midland, TX. Relocation assistance may be available.
Job Summary:
- Senior level professional.
- Participate in maintenance team efforts to achieve and maintain high aircraft readiness rates.
- Maintain King Air and 1900 aircraft types.
- Set the example in word and deed to establish a culture of safety.
- Conforms and complies with air carrier, FAA, and international flight procedures and regulations, ensuring aircraft is airworthy and in compliance with safety management and other policies.
- Coordinate with air carrier dispatch and flight department to ensure all organizational requirements are satisfied.
- Completes initial and periodic training required to maintain compliance with organizational, FAA, and international regulations.
- Supports and enforces hazardous material safety, personnel protective equipment use, and environmental stewardship.
- Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
Essential Tasks/Functions:
- Examine and inspect aircraft components, including landing gear, hydraulic systems, and deicers to locate cracks, breaks, leaks, or other problems.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance.
- Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand or power tools.
- Clean, refuel, and change oil in line service aircraft.
- Accompany aircraft on flights to make in-flight adjustments and corrections.
- Inventory and requisition or order supplies, parts, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare and paint aircraft surfaces.
- Work any shift including unscheduled overtime, nonscheduled workdays, and holidays as needed.
- Up to 25% Travel to perform AOG maintenance on aircraft located at outstations.
