Position Summary
The Quality Control Receiving Inspector ensures all parts, tooling and materials brought into the JetBlue system are serviceable and airworthy. The Quality Control Receiving Inspector ensures quality standards are maintained throughout the process of certification and acceptance following all company and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Inspects and is responsible for signing the airworthiness of aircraft spare parts, tooling and materials entering the JetBlue system
- Ensures all items are in compliance with engineering controls, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical standard items
- Signs the JetBlue Maintenance Parts Tag (MX-41) for all spare parts and tooling
- Performs general visual inspection with attention to detail to identify defects, shipping damage and including possible suspected unapproved parts
- Ensures parts are received with the proper supporting documentation meeting all company and regulatory compliance requirements
- Certifies parts are from an approved source and for use on JetBlue aircraft
- Determines if all parts and materials are serviceable per the requirements of the General Maintenance Manual and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- Supports other departments as required including Materials, Aircraft Records & Compliance
- Other duties as assigned
