The Boeing Company is looking for an F/A-18 General Mechanic - Experienced (Canopy/Seats) to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain repairs and modifications ejection seat ignition systems, aircraft structures and structural components
Maintains aircraft canopy and seats (NACES II seat mechanic)
Determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment condition and operation by using knowledge of airframe and power plant systems
Install and remove ejection seat ignition systems
Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects
Interpret technical blueprints and manufactures manuals
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option (San Antonio, TX).
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with ejection seat ignition systems
5+ years of experience with explosives and pyrotechnics as it relates to aircraft seats
5+ years of experience installing and removing ejection seats on fighter jets
5+ years of experience in working with blueprints, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
Must have Navy &34;A&34; school for AME
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance
Able to work variable shifts
Active Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Typical Experience/Education:
5+ years of experience and High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Summary Pay Rate: $74,880 - $36.00 per hour
Additive Pay: $1.00/hourly for Airframe Certification
$1.00/hourly for Powerplant Certification
