Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Check in and strip engines/components/products in line with engineering instructions
- Carry out basic cleaning of components as appropriate
- Inspect all relevant components and identify items for scrap, rework or refit using product information and OEM manuals in accordance with company procedures and Quality Manuals
- Ensure all components for rebuilding are to required specifications and available within agreed turn time targets
- Build unit to defined standard ensuring fit, clearance and modification levels are accurate
- Prepare/set up unit for testing
- Test unit and ensure all agreed checks are actioned
- Carry out final checks on completed unit ensuring all paperwork is appropriately stamped
Technical Knowledge and Qualifications
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship / BTEC Engineering or equivalent / Engineering Degree / Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position / Relevant Military experience.
- Computer literate
Other Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Health and Safety and environmental requirements and regulations
- Adhere to the Company Information and Protection Policy (IPP)
- Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable request within current competence level
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained
- Self-development will be the responsibility of the post-holder. Training and development will be identified and opportunities sought to increase personal effectiveness
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external departments
