Position Summary
Location: Parker Aerospace Group-DSD-Irvine, CA
Job Designation Works under general supervision and is responsible for work output. On a production basis, performs medium electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly work. Semi-repetitive to repetitive-type work. May make simple decisions, but must generally follow well established precedents.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Intermediate spool wrapping, cable handling and testing techniques;
- Intermediate cable harness and PCB assembly techniques;
- Intermediate mechanical assembly of small parts and good understanding of torque requirements;
- Intermediate fiber optic terminations, polishing and testing;
- Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions;
- High voltage potting and high voltage testing
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED required. Years Experience: 3+ years of related electronics assembly experience. J-STD-001 Certification preferred.Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to interact with other departments within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering. The position requires strong cooperative teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to operate winding/braiding machinery, torque wrenches, digital multi-meters, up to 12kv Hypot, solder irons, cutters, wire strippers, crimpers, heat guns and common hand tools.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $22.50/hour- $33.75/hour
