We are recruiting for the position of a Maintenance Instructor, for the MLSS Program within the CH47F(SG) Maintenance Training Team supporting the MLSS contract at Oakey. This role is open to an Aeroskills Mechanical Trade.
Your exceptional training and leadership skills can provide you with a challenging role in a unique environment.
Responsibilities will include
- Delivery of Technical Mechanical Trade Training in a theory and practical environment, in accordance with appropriate Learning Management Packages (LMP) and schedules.
- Working in the capacity of a CH47F Course Manager in accordance with Course Management administrative procedures.
- Development of training package materials through continuous improvement activities.
- Review and amendment of assessment instruments.
- Support the Training Team Lead in the CH47F Maintenance Training Facility.
- Support to the MLSS Program and PST&M Capability Managers with Training Execution as directed.
- Maintain currency on Aircraft Type as a maintainer, as part of continuous improvement.
- Support the VoC Training requirements of the MLSS Program.
- Support the annual Exercise Wallaby as part of the BDA MRO Team.
To be successful you will have
Essential
- CH47F Aircraft Mechanical Type Qualification (B1.3 MAML), or equivalent and 5 years experience as a Rotary Wing B1.3 Aviation Maintenance Tradesperson and Aviation Supervisor, and/ or Aviation Maintenance Manager.
- Certificate IV in Aero skills (Mechanical).
Desirable
- Experience with the delivery of training in the Defence environment.
- Interpersonal skills to work in a multi-trade team environment.
- Hold a Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE 40116/22) or equivalent qualification, or willingness to achieve this qualification as part of your role.
- Basic understanding of DASA Part 147 and 66 Regulations.
- Competent Aeroskills Instructor/Mentor/Coach and Courseware Development skills.
This role will be required to maintain currency as a CH47F AME supporting the MLSS BDA MRO, as directed by the MLSS Training Team Lead, as part of - but not when conducting Training Activities.
