Sky Quest Aviation LLC has an opening for FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic in Stafford, Virginia. Applicants must have a minimum of Five (5) years' experience working as an A&P mechanic on rotary-wing aircraft and returning them to service by exercising the privileges of his/her A&P certificate. Rotary wing experience must include returning civil/general aviation helicopters to service by exercising their A&P certificate. Bell 429 experience is preferred; however, the Bell 204/205, 412, 407 or similar aircraft may be substituted as long as the applicant can justify 5-years recent experience using his/her A&P. In addition to the Bell requirement, applicants with UH-60M helicopter experience is desired; however, experience utilizing the A&P certificate and FAA processes to return Bell aircraft to service is critical.
Individuals selected for this position will be responsible for maintaining aircraft and performing associated ground support tasks. The A&P mechanic/technician will perform their duties in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals/procedures, inspection bulletins, and applicable regulations; whereas the UH-60 platform will be maintained in accordance with US Army maintenance manuals/standards and documented in accordance with the ULLS-A(E) program.
The A&P will be responsible for timely and accurate completion of required forms, records and reports relative to the maintenance, modifications, service or repairs being performed.
