Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Aviation Systems Technician, working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
Upon Contract Award the Aviation Systems Technician will perform duties associated with completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for retrofit, repairs, and modification on the Royal Canadian Air Force CC177 Globemaster III Aircraft at 429 Transport Squadron, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton Ontario.
The Aviation Systems Technician will work directly under the guidance of the Lead Aviation Technician and report directly to the onsite Maintenance Manager. The MAST will be part of the existing C-17 International Field Service Team at CFB Trenton with oversight of Day to Day operations from the Boeing Base Manager.
Position Responsibilities:
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems and components IAW applicable Technical Orders and regulations.
Ensure timely repairs of maintenance activities ensuring the Customer aircraft is returned to service in a timely manner to the required standard meeting Boeing’s and Royal Canadian Air Force Airworthiness requirements.
Meet individual training requirements for mandatory and non-mandatory training.
Complies and Operates within a Safety Culture, First Time Quality, FOD Reporting, advising the Lead/Maintenance Manager of any compliance risk/escapes during Maintenance Operations.
Works with the Quality/Safety Teams to address occurrences and audit findings in a timely manner.
Ability to perform within the MAST and Squadron Maintenance as part of a cohesive team, working toward a common goal.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience as an Aviation Systems Technician/Aircraft Mechanic, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level A
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices
Must have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs)
Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed M2 rating or Military equivalent
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
3+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives
Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)
Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
Active Secret Level II security clearance
Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), current ERKS at 429 Transport Squadron is the Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
The ability to work on a Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is $80,000-$90,000 annually.
