AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - APPRENTICE
Job Summary:
HQ Aero is currently recruiting for AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - APPRENTICES in BRIDGEPORT, WV

Responsibilities:
As an Aircraft Mechanic - Apprentice, you will be required to:

• Develop your skills by performing and ensuring proper completion of all maintenance activities, with the support of experienced A&P's.  You will perform engine work, inspections and filter changes working directly with an A&P and you are required to ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate. You will ensure all components installed are properly certified, carry out duties as per the appropriate company manuals and ensure familiarity and conformity to regulatory standards. 
• Adhere to general work rules and company policies and procedures applicable to work area and job functions.

Job Type:

• Full-time, Contract
• Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)

Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. 
• Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Must be a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to multi-task. 
• Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
• Work Environment: Aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.

• Previous experience in an General Aviation environment preferred.
• Local Candidates preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Standard Aviation Tool Kit.
• Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.
