We are looking for dedicated and ambitious individuals to be a part of the Silver family. Silver Airways currently provides more routes within Florida and to the Bahamas than any other airline and we need your help to keep our fleet running smoothly as we expand! The A& P Technician accomplishes maintenance checks, up to and including line & service checks, along with non-routine heavy maintenance.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft systems, engine, electrical and avionics malfunctions
- Completes logbooks, non-routine work cards and documents in accordance with General Maintenance Manual
- Accomplishes minor structural and composite material repairs
- Reports to shift lead mechanic or supervisor for work and shift assignments
- Conduct other duties as assigned
- Must be able to read and interpret Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Structural Repair and Wiring
- Must be able to use Diagrams System Schematics, and use ATA codes
- Must have own tools
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts and days off
- Must be willing to work days, nights and holidays and overtime as requested
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, and FBI Fingerprint & 10 Year Criminal Background Check
- Must own a current U.S. Passport or equivalent with applicable visas
Required Education and Experience:
- A & P certificated issued by the FAA required
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience maintaining ATR required or equivalent other aircraft experience.
- Avionics and/or structures experience preferred
- Valid driver&39;s license required
