STS Line Maintenance, a leading provider of aircraft line maintenance services, is seeking highly motivated Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to join our growing team in Traverse City, Michigan. As an A&P Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will support daily maintenance operations for our customers, delivering top-level service to ensure aircraft safety and operational efficiency.
With a nationwide network of rapid-response stations, STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest providers of line maintenance services in the U.S. We offer competitive hourly rates, ranging from $30 to $38 per hour, based on experience.
Hiring Note: All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads.
- Collaborate with airlines, flight crews, and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers.
- Ensure aircraft maintenance meets airworthiness standards as per regulations, airworthiness directives, and company policies.
- Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment.
- Uphold the highest levels of quality, integrity, and safety.
- Analyze test results to repair or replace defective components, following maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Operate precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Perform duties outdoors and in inclement weather conditions, as needed.
- Service various commercial and large regional aircraft types.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certifications with no prior infractions.
- A&P experience with turbine-powered aircraft is a plus.
- Experience working on Commercial and Large Regional aircraft is strongly preferred but not required.
- Must have a standard set of line maintenance tools (calibrated/specialty tools provided).
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude, capable of working independently.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, stand for extended periods, and climb ladders or stairs as necessary.
- Must pass background checks and drug/alcohol screenings, and obtain customs and border patrol clearance.
- Basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills required.
- Experience with FAA-approved Part 145 repair stations or Part 135 operations is highly desired.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals to repair or replace malfunctioning components.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer focus, communication skills, and commitment to excellence.
- Open to candidates of all experience levels, from entry-level to seasoned veterans.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $30 – $38 per hour, based on experience.
- Bonuses available on a case-by-case basis.
- Yearly raises based on performance evaluations.
