- With limited supervision: make and repair tools, dies, molds, gauges, simple jigs and fixtures.
- Set up and operate all machines involved.
- Perform necessary assembly and bench work.
- Work from blueprints, models, sketches, and verbal instructions related to the work including use of shop and machinist handbooks.
- Keep work station clean and orderly.
- Perform other similar and related duties.
- Work under the close direction of Toolmaker A.
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
- CNC machining experience
- Ability to interpret blueprint
- Manual machining experience including, grinding, milling, and turning
Preferred Competencies:
- CAM software programming experience
- Ability to execute high complexity jobs
- Mold building
- Okuma and Mori Seiki experience
Required Work Experience:
- 5-6 years Tool making experience
Required Education:
- High School Diploma
- Trade School experience or equivalent
