JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Tool Room Clerk
Department: OSC Hangar Maintenance
Reports To: OSC Tooling Administrator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accomplish incoming and outgoing tooling exchanges, accurately complete Kalitta Air documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Verify part numbers, serial numbers, descriptions, quantities, and conditions of incoming and outgoing tools.
- Inventory any new calibrated tools or test equipment items to the program as they are acquired or retired.
- Receive items when they are returned from calibration and process accordingly.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing tooling shipments and accounting for same.
- The organization and cleanliness of all tool rooms and storage areas.
- Ensuring the inventory balances remain accurate for all tools and implementation of barcode system.
- Knowledge of current computer systems, making accurate data entries in accordance with established procedures.
- Knowledge of common warehouse practices and warehouse tool operations, for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Additional duties or projects as assigned by the OSC Tooling Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate; some college, technical school, and A&P license desirable. ITEL, AMM, and SRM knowledge implementation is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to co-staff.
