Job Description:

About the Role Join Kay & Associates, Inc., a long-standing partner to NASA with over 25 years of dedicated support at the Armstrong Flight Research Center. As a Supply Technician, you will provide essential logistical and supply chain expertise to enable groundbreaking flight research, experimental aircraft testing, and advanced aeronautics missions. Your work will ensure timely access to critical resources—supporting NASAs innovative programs in areas like high-speed flight, sustainable aviation, and next-generation aerospace technologies—at one of the worlds leading flight test facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, develop, and perform project-specific supply support by identifying requirements for funding, manpower, materials, facilities, and services to sustain NASA-designated flight research projects and experimental aircraft initiatives.
  • Align logistical needs with research program schedules, test milestones, and mission objectives to guarantee resources are available at the right time and location.
  • Conduct technical supply management functions, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, and related depot, local, or organizational supply activities in support of NASA flight operations.
  • Manage supply operations segmented by commodity area, function, or research project, handling assignments of varying complexity within standardized guidelines.
  • Resolve individual case problems, process supply actions, and adapt established policies/procedures to accommodate unique variations in NASA flight research requirements.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of governing supply systems, NASA policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and established guidelines to meet the needs of flight research teams and operations.
  • Analyze supply challenges by defining problem dimensions, gathering and evaluating data, and recommending or implementing solutions based on regulatory standards and mission priorities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid working knowledge of government/military-grade supply systems (experience with NASA or DoD logistics processes preferred).
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify issues, collect relevant data, and apply guidelines to deliver practical, mission-aligned solutions.
  • Understanding of organizational and research service requirements, with the ability to correlate them to flight test and project objectives.
  • Experience in aviation logistics, aircraft maintenance support, or research environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently on standardized tasks while flexibly adapting to project-specific needs in a dynamic research setting.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy in support of high-stakes flight research.
  • U.S. citizenship required; eligibility for security clearance mandatory.

Why Join Kay & Associates?

  • Contribute directly to NASAs pioneering flight research and aeronautics advancements at the historic Armstrong Flight Research Center.
  • Be part of a recognized team—praised by NASA for excellence—that supports groundbreaking missions shaping the future of flight.
  • Competitive total rewards package and opportunities for growth in aerospace logistics and technical services.
