Amentum is seeking a Supply Technician to be responsible for the acquisition and management of parts and related components associated with the MQ-9 series of UAS to include the aircraft and Ground Control Stations (GCS). The position works within both military and commercial acquisition systems using best practices and processes to ensure the timely availability of parts and components to support and sustain operational requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Requisition aircraft parts, engines and support equipment for use on all MQ-9 aircraft and GCSs.
- Uses Uniform Source, Maintenance and Recoverability (SM&R) codes to identify the source of parts and the levels of maintenance authorized to maintain, repair, overhaul or condemn them.
- Prepares supply documentation for proper identification of repairable items passed to those authorized repair maintenance levels.
- Maintains material control register and verifies all outstanding requisitions with material control, maintenance control and the approved maintenance data system to agree with supply status reports daily.
- Performs warehousing and support program duties in support operations within the site at the comprehensive level.
- Assists in verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and damages.
- Route materials and parts to prescribed storage locations and/or facilities as needed for operational support.
- Stores, stacks, or palletizes materials and/or equipment in accordance with applicable technical guidelines.
- Rearranges and takes inventory of stored materials/equipment and documents within assigned database.
- Performs the examination of stored materials and reports deterioration and damage; removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment
- May operate hand and/or power trucks and/or equipment in performing warehousing and support duties.
- Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including CTK inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
- Supports supervisor with inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items.
- Supervises, trains, and provides mentorship to subordinate personnel in Support/Supply functions.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have an active Secret US Government clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum or equivalent.
- Must have four years, within the last six years, specific experience in requisitioning, inventory control, materials management, or related property management functions.
- Must have strong understanding of military logistics processes and procedures applicable to US Navy and/or US Air Force logistics, purchasing, and management requirements.
- Must have understanding and working knowledge of CNAFINST 4790.2 NAMP and DAFI 21-101.
- Must be able to communicate effectively through both written and oral communications.
- Must be able to work within a team of professional UAS maintainers and aircrew while supporting military customers at various assigned locations.
- Must have strong computer skills that enable work within logistics, supply, maintenance processes and procedures that facilitate timely supply of parts and components.
- Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must have current/active State Issued Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a relevant career field.
- Prior experience as a Defense Contractor.
