Northrop Grumman Enterprise Global Supply Chain Infrastructure Program Support (GSC-IPS) organization is seeking talented Supply Chain Management professionals to join the Enterprise Agreement Portfolio Management and Strategic Project Execution team in the role of Supply Chain Planning Specialist 2. This position will be virtual and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
The Enterprise Agreement Portfolio Management and Strategic Project Execution team strives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition activities through data analysis, coordination with cross-sector / cross-functional teams, detailed agreement governance, and sound strategic planning. It aims to reduce the total cost of ownership for the Corporation, reduce risk, and strengthen relationships with supplier partners, all while meeting the needs of our internal and external customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Forecast enterprise demand requirements and aggregate where feasible
Review existing acquisition practices to identify opportunities to reduce cost and drive process efficiencies
Analyze supplier managed initiatives to highlight potential improvement efforts
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in the enterprise portfolio management strategy
Spearhead data hygiene efforts within Enterprise team
Assess supply sources for indirect commodities to develop best value strategies
Monitor and manage emerging global supply chain issues/best practices and develop strategies to best position the organization for success
Coordinate project strategies with functional leaders to align with operational objectives and improvement goals
Basic Qualifications:
Masters degree OR Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of experience in supply chain, planning, or a closely related field OR Associates degree with at least 4 years of experience in supply chain, planning, or a closely related field OR High School Diploma with at least 6 years of experience in supply chain, planning, or a closely related field
Experience with Costpoint, SAP, or similar ERP system(s)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Data Analytics background
Expertise in MS Excel
Demonstrated success in area of process improvement
Purchasing/Subcontracts or Material Requirement Planning experience
Project management experience
Background in Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies
DoD Clearance
Salary Range: $65,500 - $98,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
