The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated & positive Shipping and Receiving Specialist to provide support to the BDA Supply Chain Management (SCM) team by assisting with all receipt, dispatch and inventory control activities. Successful applicants will have experience in material management, warehousing, booking basic freight, use of manual handling equipment and, ideally, using Oracle E-Business Suite applications. The role will be located at Oakey Army Aviation Centre, Queensland supporting the Republic Singapore Air Force Chinook CH-47F platform.
If you have no experience in warehousing, however possess a positive attitude and your attention to detail is excellent and would like the opportunity to learn and be a part of this then please advise on your application.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and control inventory accounts including Serviceable, Repairable, Quarantine and Disposal Accounts in accordance with Boeing policy and procedures
- Receipt, storage, handling, packaging & shipping and issuing of inventory at the project warehouse facility
- Stocktaking
- Be able to communicate to a wide scope of stakeholders, internal and external
Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in, supply support roles and functions
- Previous experience in the receipt and dispatch of goods and services
- Demonstrated experience with computerised inventory management systems and methodologies
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically excel
- Be able to apply and maintain a Defence baseline clearance
