As a Purchasing Agent II, youll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. Youll be responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information. Additionally, youll work on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as manage multiple service type contracts.
This position will support all aspects of business in the SNC organization to ensure programs have the necessary material and services to support the Warfighter. We interface with external and internal customers, vendors, and other roles to ensure program needs are being met daily. Responsibilities:
Placement of material and services on to Purchase Orders
Maintain accurate due dates in the system
Work closely with other support functions such as receiving, quality, planning to solve discrepancies
Ensure compliance with all SNC policies and FAR / DFAR regulations
Must-haves:
Bachelors Degree in a related field and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Supply chain or logistics experience
Preferred:
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
Knowledge of ERP systems such as Costpoint, Source to Pay, etc...
Knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Outlook, etc...)
Basic accounting skills
Procurement experience
