Position Summary
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Parkers Supply Chain Leadership Development Program (SCLDP) offers you the opportunity to develop strong technical knowledge and professional experience preparing you to play a crucial role in Parkers success by leveraging an extensive network of suppliers to respond quickly and efficiently to constant changes in the market.At Parker, we believe in professional and personal development where you will have access to on-going development opportunities through formal trainings, on-the-job experiences, or coaching and mentoring from other professionals in the organization. - Program duration: 2 years
- Program Structure: 3 rotational assignments
- Rotations length: 1 year, 6 months, 6 months each.
- Travel requirements: The assignments will likely require relocation. You will also be required to travel to Parker’s corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio for program review, personal development and interaction with fellow program participants and mentors.
- Relocation requirements: Geographic flexibility is required both during and upon completion of the program.
- This is not a remote position

POSITION SUMMARY:
During the program, you will be trained for and exposed to multiple facets of supply chain management including materials management, procurement, trade compliance, customer service and/ or logistics at Parker facilities / divisions. You will acquire skills to produce maximum profit, provide quality service and develop insights to supply chain management including procurement forecasting, order entry, material processing, inventory control, trade requirements and logistics while learning Parker’s Lean system and using active problem solving.You will also participate in technicalontechnical training at the facility, division, and group level. More precisely, you will:
- Be trained at various division facilities
- Learn to present positive self-image and make good business decisions.
- Learn to provide timely reports summarizing business activities.
- Learn costing, manufacturing process control, logistics and purchasing.
- Attend required training courses
- Learn Parker’s Lean Office and Manufacturing and Customer Service Programs.
- Research assigned materials and manufacturing process.
- Interact with engineering, accounting, quality, market, and a host of other functional areas.
- Learn the Procurement Process and Parker’s WIN Strategy in conjunction with the Strategic Procurement philosophy.
Qualifications
To join this program, you need to meet or exceed the following criteria:
- Four-year college degree -- Supply Chain Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management and Logistics with a graduation date before June 2025.
- Demonstrated Technical competence and analytical ability.
- Computer skills – Microsoft applications
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident [“green card” holders] or have refugee or asylee status).
