Honeywells ACST team is seeking a Materials R&D Lab Technician for our Golden Valley, MN location. 

  • Citizenship Required: United States Citizenship
  • Clearance Required: Yes; you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance
  • Telecommute: No - Teleworking not available for this position
  • Travel Required: Some travel required - 20

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates. 

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Conduct research and development tasks in the field of materials science, powder metallurgy, and component / systems development
  • Operate equipment used to characterize materials or fabricate components
  • Execute testing, record data, methods, and observations generated from directed research activities
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

  • 3+ years experience working in a lab or production environment
  • Demonstrated experience with materials characterization methods
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.

WE VALUE:

  • Associates degree in Science or Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in powder metallurgy, process development, rapid prototyping, or thin film coatings
  • Self-motivated individuals able to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
