Morson Talent currently have an exciting new position for a Material Supply Officer to join our prestigious Aerospace client based in Yeovil. This is a contract initially for 12 months. (1716)

You will be point of contact and responsible for the delivery of assets and communicating supply chain issues to the relevant stakeholder&8217;s, particularly when feeding back detail on Supply Chain performance. Key to this is ensuring the SAP order books are up to date and reflective of the current position.
Relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors are critical as well as delivering business requirements in line with internal processes by adherence to vendor performance and contractual delivery dates

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- In line with the business/stakeholder requirements and using business identified and recognised applications, ensure that all parts and materials required from suppliers for repairs, spares, aircraft build, modification, maintenance, or any other scheduled task, arrive at the workplace/stakeholder on time.
- Regular reviews of supplier order books addressing any issues with order intake, improving supplier performance, order alignment, schedule changes and supplier lead time constraints to ensure reliable forecasting accuracy and compliance with exception messages to meet requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and support the development of a strong dynamic relationship with those suppliers to ensure delivery.
- Responsible for reviewing weekly or monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for your supplier accounts whilst monitoring supplier performances and reducing risks involving appropriate functions where necessary. This includes facilitating the supplier&8217;s presentation to our business of monthly performance measurements which can include Delivery Schedule Adherence (DSA), Turn Around Time (TAT), feedback on critical spares shortages and critical Repair Schemes, critical programme issues and Aircraft On the Ground (AOG) / High Priority (HP) requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for facilitating any Business requirements with your suppliers.
- You will work as part of a team to manage/facilitate and/or participate within multifunctional and multidisciplinary discussions in both the business and supply chain environment. This ensures solution development is clearly defined, understood and implemented in a timely and professional manner thus meeting future requirements in terms of business.
- Provide Supplier status with issues and actions identified as requested to do so.
- Problem solving and utilising any escalation where necessary to influence or attract other skills required from the business to maintain/improve supplier&8217;s contractual obligations.
- Support formal meeting reviews on selected suppliers and/ or chair meetings with suppliers.
- Awareness of shipping arrangements, export licences, end user statements and the impact of these on supply of equipment to the business.
- Proactive order book management with internal stakeholders as per internal procedure.
- Ensure that relevant information flows effectively from and within the team, and is made available (as necessary and where appropriate) to your manager and stakeholders.
- The job holder will be required to interface at all levels within external suppliers from order book administrators to Managing Directors and represent the business interests. Will also be required to report on performance at all levels within the business.
- Ensure effective management of suppliers that may have a significant level of complexity involving either or both high volume and value to satisfy conflicting business requirements.
- Ensure the effective management of suppliers and their performance in the most economic, efficient and timely manner in accordance with defined programme requirements, the stakeholders requirements and the relevant business policies.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Have experience of working across/within cross functional teams and have proven experience in managing key suppliers to achieve high levels of business satisfaction and confidence in their ability to meet business requirements.
- Will be required to work within a rapidly changing environment/ under pressure, and will need to demonstrate agility in thinking in order to balance a significant number of variables.
- The Job holder should possess good communication skills (written and verbal) when giving feedback to internal stakeholders on Supply Chain performance and have ability to influence internally and externally when solving problems using own initiative or on occasion by seeking assistance.
- The Job holder should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to create and maintain effective business relationships at all levels within both the business and supplier organisations.
- Computer literate/ strong Microsoft Office (MS) skills and SAP is preferable.
- Able and willing to travel alone or as part of a team within the UK and overseas, experience working with multiple locations globally is also valuable.
- A knowledge of materials and inventory management is desirable to understand the flow of materials and to understand the effects your actions have on stakeholder requirements.
