Position Summary
This position will be responsible for tracking warehouse stock. Perform as an assistant to the Senior Material Handler/Water Spider, staging materials for bulk production value streams and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete. The Material Handler/Water Spiders will also be responsible for the cycle counting process and maintain organization across all material storage locations in the Saegertown facility.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote proactive safety culture
- Maintain accurate quality records
- Assist the Senior Water Spiders staging materials for each production HPT and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete
- Ability to operate all material handling equipment including forklift
- Ability to prioritize production schedule and determine where material is needed
- Work 12-hour day or night shift
- The ability to safely lift up to 55 pounds
- Perform the weekly cycle counts and other ad hoc counts as needed to support inventory accuracy
- Maintain plantwide 5S expectations
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Willing to cross-train and perform rotating tasks
- Availability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Be a positive HPT member that promotes continuous improvement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Basic computer skills
Ability to obtain forklift certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to follow set schedule
