Job Description:
12 month contract
Pay Range: $17-20
• Unloading & Inventory: Unload trucks, inventory equipment, and stage items for installation.
• Equipment Installation: Position and install UPS units, PDU units, and other critical infrastructure.
• Cabling & Connections: Route and connect server room cables, blue power cables, and install circuit breakers. Perform rack connections and disk deployments as specified.
• Mechanical & Electrical Work: Install and maintain mechanical systems such as air conditioning ductwork, high bay ducting, and GPS antennas. Handle electrical tasks including UPS power-up, circuit breaker installation, and electrical lockout/tagout.
• System Configuration: Complete system integrations including IOS desk configurations, EPO systems, and power verification. Install and configure network components and perform system checks.
• Documentation & Reporting: Mark equipment positions on the floor, complete debriefing tasks, and provide detailed reports on installation progress and issues.
This contract will require constant traveling 3-4 weeks out in the field at a time. Once returned from travel the contractor can be back into the field as quick as 1 week but can take up to 3-4 weeks off as approved by the manager per the field schedule.
US travel only
Looking for suppliers that will cover the big ticket items for the contractor as they travel such as hotel, airfare, rental car as approved, etc. until they can be expensed with the client and reimbursed.
Preferred candidates will be mechanically inclined and have some sort of installation experience. Service field techs for installation and cable companies are a good match. Electrical experience is a plus.
