How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Completely and independently sets up and operates Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) and Conventional equipment to perform complex or precision operations in accordance with repair requirements. Sets or loads program (when available) to program zero-point reference. Sets tool compensation offsets, edit program (drilling depth and movement), set safety and tool monitors, adjust tools to parts specifications. Saves program to computer when necessary. Ensures operation of machinery. This includes completing preventive maintenance on the machine, programs PRIMS. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Must be proactive towards learning/ SOJT training process. Must work in compliance with maintenance manuals. Must be proficient in basic computer skills. Provides maintenance information to others by answering questions. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing requirements to complete the job. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Demonstrates ability to setup a machine and run the job with minimal supervision. Possesses basic math and computing knowledge, to include word processing, and email Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Is safety conscious and looks for opportunities to improve safety. Contributes to team effort by assisting and accomplishing related tasks as needed. Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.The minimum starting hourly rate for this position is $37.22 with a potential maximum hourly rate of $37.81. The ability to reach the maximum hourly rate is dependent upon several other offered premiums (Examples would include but not limited to - Airframe and Powerplant license, Shift differential, Station location differential, Line Maintenance differential, Skill differential).

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Must have minimum of four years verifiable experience as an industrial CNC machine operator and possess the following: a CNC operator certificate, or 2-year degree in - manufacturing technology, or PLC Programming, or Industrial Systems Technology, or Machine Tool Technology requiredMust be proficient in reading and comprehending mechanical drawings and schematics.Must have good mechanical ability with above average problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a variety of environments.Is able to select fixtures, part holding and tooling to machine to specifications.Can confirm conformance of finished work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gages.Can identify workmanship defects and deficiencies and can initiate program changes as required.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and provide outstanding customer service. Must work in a safe manner.Must be able to comprehend and apply information contained in detailed and complex technical manuals, procedural manuals, blueprints, etc. with no assistance.Must have the ability to work without close supervisory direction and to complete the job without assignment of tasks.Perform other duties as assigned.
