Contract Position
$38.79 - $51.20/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement of materials, services, and products to meet program requirements.
- Collaborate with program leads to identify and manage long lead materials.
- Work with sourcing and program teams to select suppliers from the approved list to achieve program objectives.
- Prepare purchase orders using Coupa and Costpoint software, ensuring all supplier documentation (e.g., terms and conditions, NDAs) is completed prior to engagement.
- Monitor supplier performance, manage backlog and daily order status reports, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Address discrepancies related to purchasing, delivery, receiving, invoices, and payments with suppliers.
- Expedite materials as necessary to manage shortages and ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with logistics to ensure the economical and timely transportation of materials to production locations.
- Manage returns for discrepant materials from receiving inspections and ensure proper documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 2-3 years of tactical-level purchasing experience, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed).
- Experience managing a commodity end-to-end (raw materials, COTS, buy parts, etc.).
- Familiarity with RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, PO processing, and supplier management.
- Ability to predict material needs 1-2 months in advance and procure long lead items.
- Proficiency with MRP systems (Costpoint experience is a plus).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
