Job Description:
Support in the development, coordination and conducting of technical reliability studies and evaluation of engineering design concepts and understands and can develop and analyze, reliability test plans. Recommendation of design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. Compilation and analysis of performance reports.
This position is responsible for preforming validation, agency and hardware testing of electronic hardware, systems and associated software. Other responsibilities include test infrastructure builds, system testing, troubleshooting and data entry into test documentation. This also may include the deconstruction of systems and setups as required.
- Perform validation, hardware and system level testing
- Support installation and configuration of test infrastructure, components and operating systems
- Provide technical documentation, direction, training and troubleshooting assistance
- Support development and review of test plans and test requirements
- Ensure test environments are set
-up, properly configured, and available for each project as scheduled
- Support development and execution of software and system automation test scripts
- Provides defect documentation, tracking and reporting; investigates and fully characterizes test failures; ensures that defects are entered with adequate information to reproduce the problem.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as requested. Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with computers and programming
- Knowledge and understanding of basic electronics
- Electrical and IP network exposure
- Ability to read schematics, layout drawings and follow installation sheets
- Ability to use electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Programmable Power Supplies, Data acquisition, etc.)
- Good analytical skills and experience in problem solving and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated initiative, drive, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to stand, bend and lift (less than 50lbs) for extended periods of time
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States Plus Skills
- Hands
-on experience with hardware test methodologies (EMC, Environmental, RFI, ESD, Electrical Transient, Endurance, Dielectric etc.)
- Ability to solder electronic components (thru
-hole and SMT)
- Experience with UL, ULC and other industry standards and agencies Experience and Education:
