The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in aircraft sustainment and analysis to join the program as our CH-47 Maintenance and Logistics Support Services (MLSS) Technical Assessor supporting activities on behalf of the Republican of Singapore Air forces CH-47 Fleet in Oakey. The MLSS Technical Assessor will liaise directly with the customer, and Boeing Maintenance, Engineering and Supply teams to provide technical assessment for sustainment support of RSAF operations.
Technical Assessor training can be provided for the right candidate if you meet the essential criteria. If you have not obtained a Certificate IV in Aeroskills but have a clear pathway to obtaining it we will consider your application.
Responsibilities of this role
1. Deliver logistics and technical support as directed by the MLSS logistics Supply manager.
2. Duties including:
- Material Verification
- Action the monthly maintenance preventative plan for the inventory held on site;
- Aeronautical product technical data analysis relating to items for CH-47 configurations and repaired items received on site;
- Process data amendments/corrections within logistics Applications for enterprise resource planning (ERP);
- Assist with planning upcoming scheduled maintenance kits and substitutions where required, example 800hrly service etc;
- Assist with substitution/obsolescence and IETM update impact where required;
- Action identification and logistics requirements for Modifications, Local Instructions where needed;
- Action unscheduled maintenance on the Hazard Materials List;
- Review and analyse contractual deliverables within the Critical Item List and Exercise pack up lists etc;
3. Provide technical advice to Engineering and Supply chain personnel in relation to Statements of work and other recommended orders within. Action requests for information from RSAF staff for supportability, including Part Numbers, alternates and equivalents, Technical Data validation, CoCs Technical inspections.
4. Transfer skills and knowledge to others within the Product Support capability through the sharing of ideas, information and experiences. Seek opportunities for professional development and support the contributions of others.
Essential criteria
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills
- Demonstrated experience with a minimum three years using logistic and maintenance data tool sets
- High level of verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to easily integrate into established teams and work within an inclusive environment
- Ability to apply and maintain a Defence Baseline clearance
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with a Systems Program Office (SPO) environment.
- Demonstrated ability using approved Defence tools such as CAMM2/MILIS/ERP/CMRO
- Demonstrated experience as an Aviation Technical Assessor
