Description: Lockheed Martins Missiles and Fire Control is looking to hire a Supplier Quality Engineer to support our Orlando, FL site.
The Supplier Quality Engineer applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
What You Will Be Doing
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Performing technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
• Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Engaging in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
• Ensuring corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
• Developing strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
• Evaluating quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
• Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Engaging in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance and must possess a final secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline or higher with a minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience.
• The position requires about 10-25 travel within the United States
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to work well in a diverse team environment
• Experience in Quality Engineering processes
• Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)
• Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 and working with government customers
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Quality Management Systems, Industry Standards and LM command media e.g., AS9100, ISO-9001, IPC and J-STD
• Experience performing complete root cause/corrective and/or preventive action as related to internal and external customers and supplier performance
• Working knowledge of continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
