Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Staff based in Arlington, TX supporting the PAC-3 program.
The Quality professional will be responsible for the strategic leadership and performance; specifically, supplier(s) performance, continuous improvement, talent development, training, and knowledge continuity. The candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert in Supplier Quality Engineering and as an Advisor for the Quality team.
This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions, and leverage technology into Missiles & Fire Control (MFC).
What You Will Be Doing
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Working with Supplier Quality Field Engineers, first article inspection, Production Process Baseline, surveillance, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards, and special process survey scheduling.
• Support efforts for new/redesigned hardware, including representing quality during design review and supplier selections.
• Participate (as required) in suppliers failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
• Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters.
• Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified, along with interfacing with supplier daily.
• Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System and talent development.
• Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and Supplier Management Teams to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures.
• Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices using resources like Causal Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A final secret with an investigation in the last five years is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
-STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education.
-Must have a final Secret clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.
-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.
-A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
-Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes.
-Strong understanding of engineering requirements and mechanical and electrical inspection methods - ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related Performance Metrics.
-Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
-Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material (Material Review Board).
-Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools.
-Must be able to identify and document suppliers quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions are identified and implemented.
-An understanding and knowledge of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily to support the Program.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
-Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Suppliers, Quality Management, Program Management, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Government Representatives, and other stakeholders.
-Ability to travel 25 - 50

-A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems.
-ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities, and special processes at suppliers.

-Experience as a team lead and facilitator.
-Experience with J-STD-001, IPC-610 inspections.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
