MAG Aerospace is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer provide technical support to the Navy Cyber Warfare Developmental Group (NCWDG). Place of performance for this position is in Annapolis Junction, MD.
***Must be a US Citizen***
***Requires a current Top Secret security clearance. A CI Polygraph will be required within 6 months.***
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide engineering technical support to the development of new capabilities, development of significant alterations to existing systems, and integration of hardware and software into cutting edge defense and space systems and platforms.
- Review and provide recommended changes to ACAT engineering documents including, but not limited to, System Specifications, System Engineering Master Plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, etc.
- Review Software and Hardware Requirements Documents, Interface Requirements and Control Documents, and other relevant technical documents to identify technical and programmatic shortfalls and deficiencies and recommend alternatives and trade-offs.
- Conduct and support extensive engineering investigations including root cause analysis.
- Actively participate in program reviews, design reviews, technical exchange meetings, and other meetings
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering and technical experience supporting hardware/software programs in defense, space, and/or advanced concept design implementation.
- Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment
- Proficient in assessing and conducting risk/issue/opportunity identification, management and mitigation for large hardware and software integration projects.
- Possess ahigh level of self-motivation; able to carry out tasks without continuous supervision.
- Must be an expert in the application of MS Office 365 software products
- Must have expert written and oral briefing skills.
Education
- BS in engineering or other related technical discipline
Desired Requirements
- Experience working with Agile software development
- Experience with orbit design and simulation tools (i.e. GMAT, EMTG. STK, MatLab, COTS missing planning tools, etc)
- Experience with trajectory optimization methods and software (C++, Python, Matlab).
Other Qualifications
- Active TOP SECRET security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). (All hires will maintain SCI access – MAG will upgrade if you possess the background investigation to support upgrade at time of hire).
- Be able to successfully pass a Counterintelligence polygraph examination
