JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Advanced Structural Engineer provides technical leadership for structural analyses and design decisions for an exciting new business jet turbofan engine. The individual will own some aspects of the structural design for an engine module by conducting and guiding the analysis, development, and testing for static structural components. The engineer must have experience performing complex structural analysis as the primary function of their job during a significant portion of their career, including finite element analysis, classic mechanics handbook calculations, fracture mechanics, fatigue, thermal effects, creep, buckling, bolted joints, clearances, and modal and forced vibration. Experience with gas turbine engines is necessary for foundational product design knowledge and technical leadership.
The internal job title for this Structures position is Sr. Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer.
