The Opportunity -
BDA is looking for Software Engineers who will join the Engineering Strategy & Ops team, who are focused in creating Engineering excellence through diversity, culture, and strategic initiatives that will enable the workforce.
This role can be based in either Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane or Newcastle.
This position will support the full stack, full lifecycle development and maintenance of cloud based software applications used across The Boeing Company. The software applications are typically developed using a microservice architecture, often developed using Java for the backend services and Angular for the front end services with a containerised deployment to multiple internal and external cloud service platforms. These applications support multiple programs and vehicle platforms within Boeing and are used to automate, generate and/or verify part of the software lifecycle for Boeing operational flight program software. Many of these also required certification by the FAA per DO-330 or DO-200b. The team is a global and largely virtual workforce with team members in India, Australia, South Korea and across all US. As a member of this team you will become part of a global integrated scrum team that is responsible for a product or product family.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
- Implementation of problem and change requests against the current baselined software.
- Develop and perform end-to-end integration testing within CI/CD and tool operational environment.
- Conduct formal qualification testing of the tool software.
About you
To be successful in this role you will be able to convey their knowledge and experience in the general, technical and behavioural competencies listed above with the most desirable experience being:
- 2+ year experience developing software in Java, JavaScript/Angular, or Python.
- Experience working in an Agile software development team.
- Familiarity with source code control and document configuration management systems.
- The ability to work independently and within a team across a wide range of tasks and competencies.
