The position will deploy, research, support, customize, and maintain the suite of Commercial and Open Source applications used by Software and Systems Engineering. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.
The selected candidate will support a classified program through the development, modification, and maintenance of custom software tools designed to meet sector customer needs. This role will collaborate with multiple functional areas to troubleshoot issues, deliver scalable software solutions, and influence IT standards.
Additionally duties include:
Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions in support of enterprise initiatives
Modifying, maintaining, and modernizing existing solutions
Ensures software standards are met.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Primary location would be Melbourne, FL.
Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 2 years of engineering/technical experience OR a Masters of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline plus 0 years of engineering/technical experience
Demonstrated ability in scripting languages
Experience with ASP .NET MVC, .NET Framework or .Net Core, and/or Entity Framework
Experience with C or C++ programming languages
Experience with VMS or LINUX/UNIX operating systems
Experience with CSS classes and styling, HTML, and Javascript or Typescript
Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL language
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR) .
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications 90 days from hire date.

High Proficiency with ASP .NET MVC, .NET Framework and .Net Core, and/or Entity Framework
High Proficiency with CSS classes and styling, HTML, and JavaScript or Typescript
Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL language
Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance, with the ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR).
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications 90 days from hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevExpress controls for ASP .Net Core/MVC
Experience with REST and Web API technologies
Experience with Code Reviews and Code Standards/Guidelines
Knowledge of Unit Testing Methodology
Knowledge of AzureDevOps/TFS capabilities such as build and release pipelines, work item management and process flow
Current special program access (PAR)
Competence as a developer utilizing ServiceNow’s App Engine to create applications and digital workflows.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Openshift)
Experience with modern authentication protocols such as Kerberos and Oauth/OIDC
Experience with JIRA
DoD 8570 certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar network/security certifications
Active DoD Secret level clearance.
Salary Range: $75,300 - $112,900
Salary Range 2: $92,600 - $139,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
