What we do:
The Sr. Rotor Systems Engineer is responsible for developing the rotor systems. You will develop and deliver the rotor system from requirements to the physical product. This position will work closely with Flight Technology, Airframe, Assembly & Integration, Vehicle Management System, Flight Controls, and System Safety teams to provide a safe and efficient means to propel our aircraft.
What you can do:
- Development of trade studies around key design decisions
- Development of the safety cases, verification strategies, and risk mitigations of the rotor systems
- Develop test plans
- Provide program expertise on rotor systems
- Drive the continuous improvement of processes to increase safety and efficiency
- Prepare Certification Design Compliance Reports with Airworthiness concepts and processes
- Partner with PMO organization to implement build plan
- Up to 10 of domestic and international travel
- Other duties as assigned
What you can contribute
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering required; Master's or PhD degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in aerospace dynamic systems
- Prior experience crafting rotating machinery
- Proficiency with vehicle and related sub-component product development processes
- Experience with helicopter and/or tiltrotor rotor systems
- Experience with developing rotor system test plans
- Experience with rotor system tests
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis

- Prior background knowledge of electric and hybrid powertrain systems
