Senior Integration & Development Test Engineer
Start: ASAP
Location: Kirkland, WA - candidates MUST be local as work is onsite
Contract Length: 12 months to start, likely to extend
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour (depending on experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
The objectives of the Sr. Integration and Development Test Engineer will be to:
Support environmental and electromagnetic interference testing of aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution equipment in the APC department.
Prepare and review test procedures and reports for aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution equipment.
Support DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461 testing on aerospace electrical power equipment.
Develop and review development and qualification test procedures for environmental and EMI tests on development aircraft electrical power equipment.
Generate test fixture designs to support environmental and EMI tests of aircraft equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review environmental and EMI test procedures, using DO-160, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 as guidance, for new aircraft electrical power equipment designs, perform tests, and document results from lab testing.
Develop custom test equipment designs and drawings to enable successful tests of aircraft electrical power equipment.
Analyze and solve a diverse variety of EMI test related technical problems through use of test data and specification requirements. Organize and analyze data and document results. Review results to ensure their accuracy and appropriateness.
Support environmental and EMI development testing, troubleshooting, and formal testing using custom test equipment and standard lab test equipment. Support AES in-house EMI lab operations and processes. Define standard and custom test equipment to support problem discovery and isolation.
Prepare and present technical information of diverse scope for internal and external engineers, program personnel, and other internal and external customers.
Acts as an individual contributor, building stable working relationships internally through tasks and assignments.
Guide technicians and operators in performing system integration and unit level development test and custom test equipment builds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of five years total in engineering experience; must have a minimum of 3 years in aerospace/aviation
Experience with:
Integrating and testing aircraft electrical power distribution, on aircraft and lab
Troubleshooting and monitoring a variety of serial data buses, avionics, and industry
FAA Part 23 or 35 certification testing
Electrical wiring definition (aircraft and test equipment)
Usage of PC controlled test equipment
Instrumentation and data logging equipment and sensors
MS Excel (charting, formulas), Word, PowerPoint, 2D drawing packages
Presenting information to internal groups and external customers

Pay Details: $50.00 to $75.00 per hour
