POSITION SUMMARY
Incumbent provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field is required. Incumbent will have to work with a team of engineers in Bangalore and Wichita, Kansas, USA to design aircraft systems or airframe details and assemblies for a new Cessna and Beechcraft products. Duties will include one or more of the following fields: airframe, flight controls, environmental controls, or hydraulics. He/She works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy, in meeting objectives. Incumbent contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. He/She represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects..
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Investigate production and field issues & resolve those with minimum engineering changes.
- Work with a team of engineers to design aircraft systems or airframe details and assemblies for a new Textron Aviation product.
- Duties will include one or more of the following fields: airframe, flight controls, environmental controls, or hydraulics.
- Incorporate design changes on drawings for parts, assemblies and installations using Catia V5/V6.
- Provide modeling and/or re-design support to existing and new products
- Coordinate independently with several cross functional teams.
- Will have to juggle multiple product critical priorities and projects concurrently.
- Occasionally She / He would be expected to guide and mentor others in the team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- CATIA V5/V6 experience required.
- Minimum of 6 years aircraft design experience
- Working knowledge of generic CAD design tool processes
- Ability to read and produce 2D drawings using standard industry practices
