Raytheon is hiring for a Semiconductor Equipment Engineer assigned to 4th shift with the hours of 5am-5pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus one 8hr workday make up period during the weekday. Candidate will be assigned to the Dry Etch work center and with opportunities to expand to other work centers. The qualified candidate must have the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of semiconductor processing equipment within the clean room environment. Supported tool sets include various Plasma Etch tools, Ulvac’s, BSET plus peripheral equipment. This includes experience with vacuum, exhaust, electrical, electro-mechanical, RF / microwave, and chemical systems typically found in a semiconductor operation. This role requires the ability to work independently following OS instructions and the direction of the work center lead.
What You Will Do
- Participate in continuous improvement activity, specifically with SPC controls of critical inputs to the manufacturing process and will work to improve up time performance on assigned systems.
- Ensure equipment availability by implementing corrective actions for hardware and software related equipment issues.
- Support of emergency response team (ERT).
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree.
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and/or repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Familiar with SEMI 10 semiconductor standards
- Read and understand equipment manuals and schematics.
- Have a fundamental knowledge of SPC controls with the ability to implement SPC control plans on existing equipment and new equipment installations.
- Able to document work and provide detailed pass down.
- Ability to pull and analyze tool date.
- Experience with predictive maintenance and SPC controls using FDC software.
- Proficient use of MS Office products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
