Position Summary
MAG is seeking a motivated Security Systems Engineer to provide specialized systems engineering support to a NAVAIR acquisition program based at NAS Patuxent River, MD. You may also act as a project lead in the development of engineering procedures and controls. Your extensive experience with NAVAIR SETR and technology acquisition processes will enable you to review and evaluate technological requirements and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Advise Program Managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads on technical matters involving Systems Security Engineering under the cognizance.
- Plan, direct, and summarize the analysis of engineering requirements, testing, and reporting in lifecycle support of the full umbrella of the SSE disciplines (namely: Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, Software Assurance, Supply Chain Risk Management, and OPSEC)
- Develop and review engineering documents throughout the systems engineering/acquisition life cycle of the platform, systems, or sub-system.
- Coordinate and possibly lead program management level meetings to address engineering and acquisition requirements in the area of Program Protection Planning (PPP) for Critical Program Information (CPI)
- Serve as consultant and advisor for the program to various segments of government, industry, and the Department of Defense in System Security Engineering issues.
- Participate in program and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) and analyze procurement specifications and data packages; T&E suitability/supportability documentation; and provide technical recommendations on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and/or spiral upgrades.
- Provide SOW/specification input to competitive procurement packages.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- At least 4 years of business, management, development, and integration experience with aircraft, weapons and/or operations, with at least 3 years of experience in the Naval Aviation systems engineering field.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience preparing project budgets and SOWs.
- Skilled in the development of systems engineering documentation e.g., Anti-Tamper Plans, Test Plans, PMPs, SEMP/SAMPs, ICD, CDD, and CPD in accordance with the latest DoD 5000 series instructions.
- Able to provide technical documentation evaluations such as prime contractor deliverables, system specifications, functional requirements documents, mission planning documents.
- Must have design experience relative to aircraft in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware/Software Integration, or System Integration
- Demonstrated capability in planning, management, budgeting, coordinating technical requirements, and contract requirements.
- Knowledge of developing DoD acquisition and technical documentation in support of anti-tamper efforts and the ability to perform technical analysis of anti-tamper capabilities.
