The role: As a Scheduled Maintenance Planning Engineer, you’ll be joining the Heathrow based Planning team. You’ll be responsible for the planning & coordinating of scheduled maintenance inputs across our Longhaul and Shorthaul fleets for hangars in London, across the UK and overseas, by developing robust plans and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do: This is a great opportunity to join the team responsible for successfully putting our fleet into maintenance, ensuring aircraft compliance is always maintained, and that the aircraft are delivered in a world class condition, to plan and to budget. You will be prioritising work in a changing and challenging environment to meet operational requirements while working alongside a team and on your own initiatives. You will work to engineering procedures and use our SAP compliance and planning system.
What you’ll bring to British Airways - Strong planning and organisational skills

Your experience: - A solid understanding of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
- Good interpersonal and collaborative skills are desired as you’ll be working closely with a range of departments including, internal and external maintenance providers, Technical and CAMO.
- HNC/HND/degree level or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
- CAA regulations
- Aircraft technical knowledge desirable
