Summary
TIMET is seeking a mechanical engineering intern to join our Maintenance team. The intern will work on various projects related to the improvement of maintenance processes.
Essential Functions
- Participate in the development, implementation, and upgrade of the Preventive Maintenance Program for all mechanical equipment.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and upgrade of the Maintenance Repair Procedures.
- Collaborate on the development, implementation, and upgrade of TIMET’s Predictive Maintenance Program including Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, and Infrared Thermography. Provide monthly reports on activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance cost figures and other related financials.
- Participate in the maintenance of “target” equipment with excessive maintenance costs. Assit in the determination of the root cause and develop a plan to abate the problem.
- Other related duties as necessary. .
Additional Responsibilities
Good working knowledge of Manufacturing Codes and Standards including ASME, ASTM, ANSI, basic knowledge of electrical controls and critical interlocks, basic knowledge of mechanical interlock, able to write sound and practical procedures
Competencies
Proficient in software applications such as MS Office and other related applications.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Education and Experience
Interns must be either graduates or pursuing a degreed program in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or University.
Special Skills
Experience in automated drafting or AUTOCAD is helpful.
Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident.
