We are looking for simulation and integration specialists for cockpit, aircraft systems in our flight simulators. There are many opportunities and challenges in this field, ranging from architecture to design, development, testing, integration, resolution of nonu2011compliances and documentation of simulated or real systems used in aircraft and helicopters.

CAE requires software and computer engineers who will port and rehost large-scale software applications for real-time aircraft simulations. This is a challenging software engineering position for engineers who crave opportunity, responsibility, and the desire for achievement. We will leverage your experience and knowledge to solve the hardest technical problems facing the company, often requiring the utmost creativity and innovation.

The role we are offering you:

u00B7 Develop innovative solutions to complex software problems in a real-time simulation environment

u00B7 Create scalable architectures to improve software porting process efficiency

u00B7 Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement

u00B7 Train other engineers in advanced debugging and problem-solving skills

u00B7 Debug complex avionics software issues on real-time simulation platform

u00B7 Act as functional software architect, responsible for overall technical approach and quality

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required

  • Experience debugging software applications or programs

  • Demonstrate creativity and strong problem-solving skills

  • Large Scale Software Development experience a plus

  • Embedded Software Development experience

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in Operational Flight Programs (OFP) Development or Porting

  • Low-level programming, bit/byte manipulation, memory alignment experience

  • Real-time software development

  • Expert level in C / C++

  • Knowledge of avionics systems communication protocols, such as ARINC 429, AFDX, MIL-STD-1553, etc. an asset

  • Visual Studio Debugger or other dynamic debugging tools

  • Computer networking standards (Ethernet, TCP, UDP) a plus

  • Assembly language programming (any processor)

  • Agile methodology
