What are your contributions to the team?
• Research, design and evaluate new technical concepts or emerging technologies.
• Validate these concepts in the Innovation laboratory with actual mockups.
• Organize and attend design reviews taking into consideration industry regulations, Bombardier Aerospace design practices and requirements.
• Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.
• Prepare different types of Engineering documentation to support start of design activities.
• Help supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
• Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvement (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction etc.)
• Review specifications for accuracy across documentations.
• Be mindful of project potential technical issues (critical designs, risks etc.)
• Support/attend weekly quality and engineering meetings.
• Propose design solutions to change requests (RFC) from supplier and/or production.
• Participate in aircrafts go & see in production to assess build or installation issues.
• Work with supplier and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal PCR (internal changes) impacts.
• Work with supplier and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal RFQ (client changes) impacts.
• Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams, and upper management.
• Validate certification documents as required to ensure design comply with regulations
How to thrive in this role?
• You are a recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with up to maximum of five (5) years of experience.
• You have experience working with Catia V5/Enovia/VPM NAV (part, assembly, drawing), MS Excel and Word.
• You have relevant technical experience in aircraft interiors completions (considered as an asset.
• You have good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
• You like to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, you adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your number one priority.
• You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
