Process Engineer - Machining M/F

Job Description:

1.tProcess Design & Optimization:
a.tDesign, develop and optimize machining processes for CNC milling, turning, drilling and other precision machining operations.
b.tSelect appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters (speeds, feeds, depth of cut) to maximize efficiency and tool life.
c.tConduct feasibility studies and process validation for new programs.
d.tImplement lean manufacturing methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.

2.tProgramming and Tooling:
a.tDevelop, maintain and optimize CNC programs (G-code) for 3 axis machining centers.
b.tDevelop, maintain and optimize CMM programs for inspection.
c.tWork with CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths and CNC program.
d.tDesign new toolings.
e.tCollaborate with tooling suppliers to select and test new cutting tools and work holding solution.

3.tQuality and Trouble shooting
a.tMonitor machining processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements (Aviation Regulation, EN9100, OSHA etc).
b.tAnalyze machining data to improve process stability, non-quality, reduce scrap and increase throughput using data analysis tool.
c.tSupport root cause analysis and corrective action for machining process-related defects or downtime.

4.tProduction Support and Continuous improvement
a.tProvide technical support to machinist and production teams to resolve machining issues.
b.tReduce cycle times and optimise control plan through process improvements.
c.tDevelop and maintain documentation for machining center (SOP, Work instruction, setup sheets, PFMEA etc).
d.tTrain the operators and ensure a sustainable support for production and maintenance.
e.tEnsure periodically the achievement of Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA).

5.tNew product/ PNR EIS:
a.tCollaborate with SLS design office to ensure manufacturability (Design for manufacturing).
b.tDevelop machining processes and CMM program for prototype and production parts.
c.tRead and create mechanical drawings with 2D/3D CAD software.
d.tParticipate in contract review and provide inputs on material selection and machining feasibility.
e.tLead the process and equipment qualification accordingly to Safran Landing Systems process and procedures including perform First Article Inspection (FAI).

6.tProject Management
a.tLead and support process improvement projects from conception to implementation.
b.tLead or support capital equipment selection, procurement and commissioning for machining workshop.
c.tManage budget, timelines and resources for engineering projects.
d.tEvaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment and automation solutions.
e.tInterface with contractors and stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

•\tDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
•\tMore than 5 years of hands-on experience in machining
•\tProfound knowledge of machining and digital programming
•\tTechnical expertise in Zeiss CMM will be an advantage
•\tGood knowledge in PLC, HMI, Robotics, Doosan CNC and Fanuc Robot.
•\tProject management skill required.
•\tExcellent leadership, communication, team player and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client engagement.
•\tStrong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
•\tPrior experience within industries such as automotive, aeronautics is advantageous.
•\tProficient in the use of Microsoft Office application, Minitab, JASP.
•\tGood communication skills, both verbal and written.
