Model Based System Engineer (MBSE) Experienced
Sterling Heights, MI
Contract Position
Join our team and contribute to the development and sustainment of advanced military equipment, ensuring the safety of our soldiers and allies. As an experienced MBSE professional, you will lead the Model-Based System Engineering development activities, providing technical direction and guidance for engineering projects in a SysML environment using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee MBSE development and management activities for engineering projects, ensuring effective execution of all aspects of the systems engineering process.
- Guide MBSE engineers in the use of SysML modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture for requirements development, system architecture design, and technical performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with program office personnel to develop proposals, scopes of work, statements of work, and work breakdown structures, defining how the MBSE approach integrates into overall program plans.
- Structure and stage the MBSE model to facilitate reuse and consistency across programs and support Digital Engineering (DE) initiatives.
- Develop and maintain SysML models for functional and non-functional requirements, system functions, and component-level requirements, ensuring compliance with program specifications and GCIA documentation standards.
- Define and implement MBSE-based metrics for technical performance measures, risk management, trade studies, and design decisions.
- Support integration of MBSE into a seamless Digital Engineering environment, connecting tools such as Teamcenter, Cameo, MADe, and others to establish a single source of truth for all engineering products.
- Create and manage style guides for SysML modeling and MBSE implementation standards.
- Provide program metrics on the maturation of MBSE environments and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (technical degrees may be considered based on related experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of related engineering experience, with strong vehicle systems engineering expertise.
- Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SysML modeling using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Commitment to process improvements and continuous enhancement of engineering methodologies.
