Description:You will be a Manufacturing Engineer for the Camden Operations team. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire (MFC) is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures, and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will join our team on the PAC - 3 Sustainment (Depot) program. Your responsibilities will include:
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations and minimize waste.
• Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in production.
• Work closely with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality standards and inspection processes.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues that may impact product quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams to provide manufacturing input during the product development phase.
• Create and oversee manufacturing plans for new product launches, building initial test units, and ensuring efficient production scaling.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement projects.
• Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to identify areas for enhancement and implement data-driven solutions.
• Evaluate, select, and implement new manufacturing equipment or technologies to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
• Health and Safety: Promote and adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• This position typically requires 2 years of professional experience

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering or STEM field or equivalent experience/combined education
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools and machines.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite.
Desired Skills:
-Promoting safety practices on the shop floor and eliminating safety risk
-Troubleshooting production issues using failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions (RC/CA)
-Implementing continuous improvement projects using 6S and Lean manufacturing techniques
-Customer service skills to communicate to the shop floor and train operators
-Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions and Bill of Materials (BoM)
-Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications including Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)
-Incorporating configuration changes on existing procedures and verifying alignment with engineering requirements
-Designing new tools and maintaining existing tooling/equipment
-Project management experience in writing a business case, developing estimates, reporting schedule, and coordinating task between multiple functions.
-Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA or equivalent)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
