Description:You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the S&GS Program Manufacturing Engineering Team. Program Manufacturing Engineers are the liaison between the production centers and the program. We work with the centers to help drive and review engineering changes, update manufacturing bill of materials, capture make or buy decisions, manage capital request, and work with the many other roles throughout the programs (QE, TE, IE, ME, BusOps, etc.).
What You Will Be Doing
As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Apache, TSS, and Longbow FCR program production and development efforts. The Candidate will support SITC manufacturing engineers in the areas of manufacturing process development, troubleshooting and yield investigations, and tooling concept and design.
Other tasks include supporting production operations meetings, presentations, and overall coordination events as required by the Prod Ops ME lead and act as the liaison between Orlando commodity shops on an as-needed basis. Make-buy, IMS support, and engineering change board representation on a regular basis.
This position typically requires 4+ years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree or 2+ years with a Masters degree.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in an Engineering related field.
- Knowledge of electro- assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.
- A good understanding and demonstrated application of principles of DFMA.
- Working knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma skills and ability to identify process issues/opportunities and implement cost-saving solutions (Affordability)
- Working knowledge of GD&T, and experience with manufacturing processes, precision machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences
- CREO (Pro-E) experience with a focus on tooling, taking a concept through to final and fabrication
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
-Knowledge of Manufacturing and familiarity with LM Operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication to effectively communicate with senior program leadership and functional leadership, and within a virtual team environment
- Experience with automation/robotics.
- Familiarity SAP and P2P applications.
- Highly skilled at interpretation of Engineering specifications and the translation into effective Work Instructions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
