Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II whose primary responsibilities include supporting manufacturing production hardware in the Cable fabrication value stream for various radar and missile programs. This position requires close cooperation with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines including Product Design, Test Development and Test Engineering. The desired candidate will possess superb communication skills and be capable to work in a dynamic team environment.
What You Will Do
Interpret manufacturing requirements, develop and maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), and document manufacturing practices
Support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporating Engineering changes into the MDPs
Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and correction action analysis as required
Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues relating to the production manufacturing process
Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect), using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making
Develop work cell layouts
Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in-house as well as the supply base
Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree.
1 year of Manufacturing experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with cable fabrication including point to point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency
Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming
A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing methods through process modernization
Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques
Demonstrated success working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, OneNote)
Active SECRET clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
