Your Role
As the Lead System Safety Coordinator in the Engineering Functional team within NGA, you will be providing leadership, management and coordination of System Safety Program activities on NGA Programs and Captures. This role will maintain the Safety Program and the association plans for each program. There will be a focus on continuous improvement of the engineering safety policy, processes and procedures to increase efficiency and capability, and ensure continued compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements.
Knowledge of aircraft certification standards, MIL-STD-882, ARP4761 or other System Safety standards is essential for success in this position. Similarly, knowledge or experience working within a DASA regulatory environment is crucial.
About You
NGA is looking for an Degree qualified engineer, with relevant experience as a Systems Safety professional, or within large transport aircraft operations in a technical role. This ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines. Experience working within a defence environment is desirable but not required for this position.
