Our expectations:
If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role, we invite you to apply. You will have an office type work with own desk, PC and phone number next to your colleges. Our facility includes assembly line and engine test and rig cells.
What your day to day will look like:
- Improve analytical method for containment analysis for Gas turbine airfoils using energy methods and FEA in Ls-Dyna.
- Develop / define and calibrate ice/hail impact or blade containment in FEA in Ansys or Ls-Dyna for static airfoil made of composite materials.
- Goal is to achieve competitive advantage by improving analytical process and reducing development cost towards certification.
What you need to be successful:
Must haves:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering programs (2nd – 4th year grade student).
- Relevant Courses: Mechanics of materials / Damage in Materials, Static / Mechanics of Deformable Solids, Structure & Properties of materials.
Assets:
- LS-Dyna experience
- Finite Element Analysis
- Engineering mechanics
- Solid Mechanics
- Dynamics
- Machinery Design.
Work Environment - Office type
What my role type is:
Onsite only - 8am to 5pm. Some flexibility of working hours within a week offered.
